Juneteenth Holiday Closure - 2021

Town offices will be closed Friday, June 18 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday; the Pittsford Community Library and the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center will remain open for regular hours. Juneteenth commemorates the end to slavery and celebrates Black and African American freedom and achievements. It was June 19, 1865, when the news of emancipation came to Texas more than two years after President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation went into effect on January 1, 1863.
