The Town of Pittsford is committed to informing the public about events, programs, issues and services of importance to our community. The Communication Director initiates, coordinates and sustains relationships with various constituencies, especially the general public and the media, to ensure open and timely flow of information to and from Town government regarding its policies and procedures, and works to encourage public involvement and increase awareness regarding town programs, services, and recreational opportunities.
The Town's Communication Department provides a variety of publications for residents including The Pittsford Messenger print newsletter, the town's weekly eNewsletter, and several specialized mailings pertaining to events and seasonal services.
In collaboration with the Technology Department, the Communication Director provides content for the Town's website and supports the visibility of local nonprofit groups via information included in the Town's eNews and posted on the Community Bulletin Board of cable channel 12.
