Town offices and the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center will be closed Monday, June 19 in observance of the State and Federal Juneteenth holiday; the Pittsford Community Library will remain open for regular hours. Juneteenth commemorates the end to slavery and celebrates Black and African American freedom and achievements. It was June 19, 1865, when the news of emancipation came to Texas more than two years after President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation went into effect on January 1, 1863.

Our Summer Concert Series will kick off Friday, June 9! Join us canalside in Carpenter Park at the Port of Pittsford at 6:30pm on Friday evenings from June 9 through August 25 (no concert June 30). We’ve got an outstanding variety of great music – from jazz, Sinatra-era, rag time, blues and big band to acoustic, Americana, bluegrass and folk – plus tributes to the Beatles and Steely Dan! It’s the perfect way to start your weekend.

The Monroe County Department of Transportation has informed us that beginning today, they will be milling and resurfacing along East Street from East Jefferson Road to Thornell Road.  The work will take place over the next two to three days (June 1 - 3, 2023). Per MCDOT, interruption will be minimal and will include temporary lane closures directed by onsite County crew members.  If you are driving in the area during the roadwork, please use extra caution. Be aware of dust and lose stone on the road surface and watch for construction equipment working in the area.

There are many machines – plow trucks, construction machinery, emergency service vehicles and more – that work to keep our town running safely and smoothly. Join us at the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center on Saturday, June 3 from 10:00am – 12noon and meet them close up!
