Founded in 1995, the Mambo Kings is a Latin jazz and salsa band known for their vibrant performances and blend of tradition Afro-Cuban rhythms and other Latin music styles. Wonka is a 2023 fantasy musical film and prequel to Roald Dahl’s classic and beloved story, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. The film explores the origins of the iconic chocolatier Willy Wonka, played by Timothy Chalamet, and follows his journey from a curious and inventive youth to the eccentric creator of the world’s most famous chocolate factory.

Our next Concert for Kids is this Wednesday, August 14, featuring the beloved children’s band, The Happy Pirates! Join us at the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center at 6:30pm for a night of adventure, skits, jokes and lively music. The Happy Pirates perform a mix of original songs, popular children’s music and pirate-themed storytelling than keep children entertained and engaged. We’ll have face painting too, and delicious treats available for purchase from Kona Ice.

Join us this Friday, August 16, for our next Town of Pittsford Summer Concert Series, featuring Pittsford’s very own Pittsford Fire Department Band! The band plays marches and patriotic music as well as popular hits from yesterday and today. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and join us canalside in Carpenter Park at the Port of Pittsford at 6:30pm.

The Town of Pittsford Summer Concert Series continues this Friday, August 2, with the Son Henry band! Son Henry is known for their eclectic blend of blues, rock and Americana music. Their style is characterized by gritty guitar riffs, soulful vocals and a deep appreciation for traditional blues roots. You’ll love this electricfying performance! Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and join us canalside in Carpenter Park at the Port of Pittsford at 6:30pm for an evening of captivating music.

Hey families – are you ready for our next concert for kids? Join us as the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center next Wednesday, July 31, at 6:30pm for a fun performance with our zany pal Mr. Loops! Mr. Loops is a musician and entertainer who loves to teach youngsters how to dance, sing and create music! There will also be face painting and delicious treats available from Kona Ice.

Message from Town Supervisor Bill Smith:

We have closed Town Hall for the day (Friday, 7/19/24). The nationwide computer outage has all systems at Town Hall and other facilities down. Our IT Director estimates it will take all day to get back up and running. 

The Town Library is open today with some limitations. Computers are not available and library cards are needed to check out materials.

The Spiegel Community Center is fully open today.  The senior lunch program will proceed as scheduled.
