Pittsford Recreation provides exceptional community-wide programming for youth, adults and senior citizens. Pittsford Recreation strives to improve the quality of life of each member of our community. We believe this is accomplished through world-class customer service and programming.

What we do:

The Town of Pittsford Sewer Department’s staff of 9 provides support services regarding construction, operation and maintenance of the Town’s sewer systems and drainage network. Sanitary sewer service is available to about 70% of the Town. Those not serviced by public sewers utilize privately owned septic systems that fall under the jurisdiction of the Monroe County Health Department.

What we do:

The Planning, Zoning, and Development Department serves a number of critical functions within the Town of Pittsford related to the coordination, management and processing the various forms of development and land use proposals within the Town. This includes but is not limited to residential subdivisions, non-residential site plans for commercial, light industrial, and office uses as well as Special Permits for uses such as restaurants, colleges, and churches.

The Town of Pittsford Parks Department serves to provide and maintain high quality parks, recreation facilities, trails and open spaces that meet the full range of passive and active recreation needs of Town residents.

What we do:

The Town of Pittsford Highway Department’s responsibilities are in three functional areas: highway maintenance, yard debris and leaf collection, and snow and ice control.

What we do:

The Code Enforcement Office is primarily responsible for the issuance of permits and the enforcement of State and local building codes, Town policy, Temporary Activities, New York State Fire Prevention Code, Energy Code as well as various local municipal codes and ordinances.

As a precaution the Town Clerk’s office would like to continue social distancing at our counter. Therefore, the Town Clerk's Office requires that you make an appointment for marriages and notaries at (585) 248-6210. All other services are available in person. However transactions through the mail slots located in the front and the back of the Town Hall building or by mail is still very much appreciated and encouraged. Thank you.

Mission / Vision Statement

The Office of the Supervisor is a vital support connection to the various departments and staff as well as a linkage between town residents and their government. As leaders we enable the ideas, opinions, and concerns of a wide variety of interests in town affairs and use that input to manage the town government in the most effective and efficient manner.
