Narcan training and services info at Library this Wednesday, April 24, 2024 - learn to safely stop an opioid overdose

The Pittsford Community Library will offer free public Narcan training and opioid awareness information this Wednesday, April 24, from 10:00am  - 1:00pm. Stop by to receive free Narcan training and a Narcan kit from the Monroe County Health Department.  Narcan (Naloxone) is a nasal spray that can be administered immediately to treat an opioid overdose.

February is American Heart Month, and our incredible Highway Department team just raised $1,000 in personal funds to donate to the American Heart Association in honor of Highway Department Assistant Kathleen Leonard!

In 2021 Kathleen Leonard experienced a life-altering event. One moment she was sleeping peacefully; the next, she was in sudden cardiac arrest.

Town expands tax exemptions for seniors and disabled citizens with limited income - 2024

The Town of Pittsford has expanded eligibility for its tax exemptions for seniors and the disabled with limited income.  The Town Board’s vote on February 6, 2024 raised the income limit to $58,400, thereby making seniors and disabled persons with annual income less than $58,400 eligible for the exemption.  This represents the full extent of income eligibility for the exemption permitted by State law.  Previously the annual income limit to qualify for the exemption was $37,400.
