The Pittsford Community Library continues to offer an engaging mix of educational, cultural, and community-centered programs for residents of all ages this spring!

Due Sunday, May 31: Bookmark Contest
Design a bookmark based on our Summer Reading theme, “Unearth a Story™.” Forms are available at the library and on the Pittsford Community Library website. Saturday, May 2, 10:30am–11:15am: Bilingual French Story Time
Join us for stories, songs, and a craft in French and English. For kids of all ages. This event is free and open to the public. No registration required.

Saturday, May 2, 10:00am–5:00pm: Exam Study Halls
The Fisher Meeting Room will be available to students studying for exams. For grades 9–12.

Sunday, May 3, 12:30pm–2:00pm: Therapy Dog Visit
Take a study break to spend time with therapy dogs! For students studying for exams, but all are welcome.

Tuesday, May 5, 3:30pm–4:30pm: Teen Community Service
Earn one hour of service credit while helping your library community. For grades 6–12. Registration is required. Register online by visiting https://calendar.libraryweb.org/event/16650896

Tuesday, May 5, 5:00pm–6:00pm: Teen Writing Group
Meet other writers and tap into your creativity with prompts and activities. Sharing your writing is always optional! For grades 6–12. Registration is required; register online by visiting https://calendar.libraryweb.org/event/16650900.

Wednesday, May 6, 9:30am–10:00am or 10:15am–10:45am: Music and Movement with Miss Kate
Miss Kate is a board-certified music therapist who uses live music, movement, and story-songs to foster early language, motor skills, literacy, and social-emotional development. Best for ages 1–4 with a caregiver, but kids of all ages are welcome. Registration is required for children. Register online by visiting https://bit.ly/4tB6iI3.

Thursday, May 7, 6:30pm–7:30pm: Home-Grown Herbs
This presentation will cover growing conditions and ongoing care needed to produce home-grown gardens. Presented by Cornell Cooperative Extension. Registration is required, and an active email address is needed to receive the Zoom link. You will receive the link via email before the program. This program is hosted by the Penfield Public Library. If you have questions, call the library at 595-340-8720. The Master Gardener Series is brought to you by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County and is made possible by a consortium of MCLS libraries that share resources and connect communities.
