Main St in the Village to the other side of Bushnell's Basin. There are currently working on joint repairs within the Village moving toward the Basin. You can expect some slight delays. Starting next Monday, they will begin milling off the old surface with the paver following just behind. The paving is expected to take 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. they are starting in the Basin and moving toward the Village. The road will remain open as flagmen redirect traffic around the paver.

Project update 7/29/09
The New York State Department of Transportation will be milling and repaving Rt. 96 (Jefferson Road) from S. Main St. in the Village of Pittsford to Kreag Road in the Town of Perinton. The objective of this project is to prevent further deterioration of the existing pavement for the next 10 - 12 years. Variable message boards have already gone up reminding residents of the pending construction. Starting the week of August 3rd, drainage work will start with cleaning of road side ditches and the addition of very minimal pipe. This work should have little impact on traffic. Starting on August 12th, contractors for NYS-DOT will begin to repair joints that are hidden under the asphalt to help improve the ride. Starting 8/17 and extending to 8/20, the asphalt surface will be milled off and new asphalt pavement will be applied. They will be working from Kreag Road, moving toward the Village. There will be alternating 1 way traffic via flagman in the area of the paving operation. NYS-DOT is expecting some traffic delays during that time frame. Remaining work will continue into September but will have no impact of traffic.
