Tax bill reduction possible for seniors who qualify

TAX BILL REDUCTION POSSIBLE FOR SENIORS WHO QUALIFY
Application filing deadline is March 1 
Those who will be 65 years of age or older by December 31, 2023 and have a 2021 gross income of less than $58,400 may be eligible for an exemption which could reduce their future tax bills. The filing deadline for this tax exemption is March 1, 2023.

If you think you may qualify, you can find the Partial Tax Exemption for Seniors form (RP-467) application with instructions on the Assessor’s web page of the Town of Pittsford website at www.townofpittsford.org/assessor/exemption-information#SENIOR. Gross income includes your total salary and wages, total social security payments, total pension or retirement payments, interest, dividends, interest from estates or trusts, disability payments, worker’s compensation, earnings on IRAs, alimony, annuity payments representing a return on capital, and unemployment payments.
