The Pittsford Community Library has planned a variety of Town programs celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for January. See below for details and be sure to save the dates. The programs are free and open to the public. Please join us!

SATURDAY, JANUARY 14, 2:00pm
Blackstorytelling League of Rochester: Martin Luther King, Jr. Storytelling
Stories relating to the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 17, 6:30pm
Otis’ Dream: Documentary and discussion
View the short film Otis’ Dream, about the day-long journey of Otis Moss, Sr. and his determination to cast his ballot in rural Georgia in 1946. Following the film a discussion will be led by Dr. Jeffrey McCune, Director of the Frederick Douglass Institute for African & African American Studies at the University of Rochester. 

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 18, 7:00pm
Concert: Justice Freeman & Friends MLK Concert
Rochester native Justice Freeman and friends will bring you the sounds of jazz to swing the night away in honor of MLK!
 
All of the Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. programs are free and open to the public and will be held in the Fisher Meeting Room.
