Thursday Morning Movie Matinees for Seniors

Seniors, join us on for a free morning movie matinee, popcorn and breakfast treats, then stay afterward for an optional pizza lunch if you'd like! Registration is required.

Held in the VanHuysen Community Room at the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center, our movies begin at 10:30am. Enjoy complimentary coffee, breakfast pastries and popcorn while you watch. An optional lunch of pizza, salad and dessert is available after the movie at a cost of $6.00. Advance reservations are required for the movie and for lunch. My Big Fat Greek Wedding - June 13

Reservations required by Tuesday, June 11. Seniors, join us on Thursday, June 13 for a free morning movie matinee featuring My Big Fat Greek Wedding - a comedy film starring Nia Vardalos and John Corbett. Enjoy a complimentary selection of coffee, breakfast pastries and popcorn while you watch the film, then stay afterward for a lunch of pizza, salad and dessert if you’d like!

Everyone in the Portokalos family worries about Toula (Nia Vardalos). Still unmarried at 30 years old, she works at Dancing Zorba's, the Greek restaurant owned by her parents, Gus (Michael Constantine) and Maria (Lainie Kazan). After taking a job at her aunt's travel agency, she falls in love with Ian Miller (John Corbett), a teacher who is tall, handsome, and definitely not Greek. Toula isn't sure which will be more upsetting to her father, that Ian is a foreigner or that he's a vegetarian. Will Toula and Ian make it to the altar, or will Toula’s boisterous family have the groom running for the hills? Find out at our next seniors movie matinee!

The movie begins at 10:30am in the VanHuysen Community Room at the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center. The movie and snacks are free; the cost for the optional lunch is $6.00 per person. Please note, so we can plan accordingly, registration is required for the movie and for the lunch.
