Since 1982, the Public Employer Risk Management Association, PERMA, has been protecting and caring for the safety of all types of public employees - firefighters, highway workers, groundskeepers and administrators.  The Town of Pittsford was proud to be recognized by PERMA for its effective safety and loss control programs.  The Town was evaluated on many categories including: special safety programs for employees; fleet safety (i.e. driver training); accident management; department and supervisor participation in programs; and record management.  This recognition has resulted in a decrease in the Town's contribution to worker's compensation which is passed directly on to taxpayers.
