10/17/23 Update:
STONE ROAD IS NOW FULLY OPEN
Phase 2, the final phase of the Stone Road Culvert Replacement construction project, is completed
Phase 2 of the Monroe County Department of Transportation’s Stone Road Culvert Replacement construction project (east of Clover Street, between Chelsea Park/Merryhill Lane and Chatham Woods)is now completed. This completes the two-phase County project; Stone Road is fully re-opened in this area.

8/16/23 Update:
STONE ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE: CHELSEA PARK TO CHATHAM WOODS SECTION NOW CLOSED
Stone Road west of Clover Street, between Stoney Clover Lane and Wexdord Glen is now open
Phase 1 of the Monroe County Department of Transportation’s Stone Road Culvert Replacement construction project (west of Clover Street, between Stoney Clover Lane and Wexford Glen) was completed on Wednesday, August 16 and that section of Stone Road has been re-opened to through traffic.  Phase 2 construction of the project began immediately, meaning at the area of the second culvert (Stone Road east of Clover Street, between Chelsea Park/Merryhill Lane and Chatham Woods) is now closed to through traffic. Detours using Clover Street (Route 65) and Tobey Road will be posted. The road will remain open to local traffic only up to the culvert.  Refer to the Monroe County DOT map of the detour routes found here.

To complete the work for this second phase, Stone Road will be fully closed east of Clover Street, between Chelsea Park/Merryhill Lane and Chatham Woods while the project continues.  Through-traffic will be detoured using the detour as shown on the map found here. Message boards and detour signage also will be placed in the area. The project is expected to be completed by the end of September, 2023.

During the closure, access to local side streets and properties will be maintained; traffic will be prohibited from driving across the actual culvert being worked on.  Complete project information and the detour map can be found at www.monroecounty.gov/dot-construction. County’s culvert work expected to close road section as of mid-August
Per an update from the Monroe County Department of Transportation (DOT), Phase 1 of the Stone Road Culvert Replacement construction project (west of Clover Street, between Stoney Clover Lane and Wexford Glen) is nearing completion. They expect the road to be repaved and re-opened by mid-August. They expect Phase 2 of the culvert replacement project (east of Clover Street, between Chelsea Park/Merryhill Lane and Chatham Woods) to begin in mid-August and to be completed by early October. During Phase 2 construction, Stone Road will be closed east of Clover Street, between Chelsea Park/Merryhill Lane and Chatham Woods. Detours using Clover Street (Route 65) and Tobey Road will be posted. STONE ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE: CHELSEA PARK TO CHATHAM WOODS
County’s culvert work will close road section as of August 9
Beginning August 9, 2023 at 9:00am, Stone Road will be closed east of Clover Street, between Chelsea Park and Chatham Woods, for Phase 2 of the ongoing Monroe County Department of Transportation (DOT) Stone Road Culvert Replacement Project. Detours using Clover Street (Route 65) and Tobey Road will be posted. This section of Stone Road is expected be closed through September 20 (approximately six weeks). The road will remain open to local traffic only up to the culvert.  Refer to the Monroe County DOT map of the detour routes found here.

STONE ROAD CLOSURE FOR COUNTY'S CULVERT WORK IS UNDER WAY 
The Monroe County Department of Transportation (DOT) closed part of Stone Road in Pittsford as of Monday, May 22 to complete Phase 1 of its culvert replacement project.  The project will be done in two phases and is expected to be completed by the end of September, 2023. Refer to the County DOT info sheet and map of the detour routes found here.

Phase 1 is under way and involves work on Stone Road at the culvert located between Stoney Clover Lane and Wexford Glen. COUNTY'S CULVERT WORK WILL CLOSE PARTS OF STONE ROAD BEGINNING THIS MONDAY, MAY 22
The Monroe County Department of Transportation (DOT) will close parts of Stone Road in Pittsford as of this Monday, May 22 to remove and replace two culverts.  The work will be done in two phases and is expected to be completed by the end of September, 2023.
