PRESENT
Supervisor William A. Carpenter and Councilpersons Sandra F. Zutes, John J. Higgins Jr., and Karen W. Green were present.

ATTENDANCE
There were no members of the public in attendance.

SUPERVISOR'S COMMENTS
Supervisor Carpenter recognized the nice job that the Town staff did on the Pittsford Celebrates event that was held on Saturday September 16th, and also noted that the 2008 Community Events activities are now almost completed.

PUBLIC HEARING: PROPOSED PITTSFORD SEWER DISTRICT EXTENSION SWBC #44 - LANDS OF 18 STONEY CLOVER LANE
At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Town Board approved sewer extension SWBC #44, Lands of 18 Stoney Clover Lane.

PUBLIC HEARING: PROPOSED PITTSFORD SEWER DISTRICT EXTENSION PSD #77 - LANDS OF 3 EDYTH STREET
At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Town Board approved sewer extension PSD #77, Lands of 3 Edyth Street.

2009 BUDGET WORKSHOP
Commissioner of Public Works Paul Schenkel discussed the proposed 2009 DPW Budgets with the members of the Town Board along with DPW staff members Rick Mortensen, Jim Scherer, Scott Wallman, Dean Frohm, Michelle Debyah, Doug McVay, Ed Starowicz, Marty Brewster, Doug Driscoll, and Dan Barnes.

PUBLIC HEARING DATE SET: PROPOSED 2009 PRELIMINARY TOWN BUDGET, 2009 SPECIAL DISTRICT BUDGETS AND SEWER RENT ROLLS AND DEPT SERVICE BUDGETS FOR PITTSFORD CONSOLIDATED SEWER DISTRICT
The Town Board set a public hearing date of October 21 2008 at 7:00 P.M. to consider the 2009 Preliminary Town Budget, the 2009 Special District Budgets, and Sewer Rent Rolls and Debt Service budgets for Pittsford Consolidated Sewer District.

IN OTHER ACTIONS, THE TOWN BOARD:

• Approved a Resolution of Commendation for Barry Sens recognizing his 50 years of service with the Pittsford Fire Department
• Appointed a Temporary Marriage Officiant
• Authorized surplus inventory
• Authorized excess capacity in Sewer District Extension JHSD #149
• Approved the 2009 Holiday Schedule
• Authorized a Easement Encroachment and Hold Harmless Agreement for 80 Harper Drive
• Approved contracts and agreements
• Authorized September 2008 vouchers and transfers
• Authorized employee training

The next Town Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 in the basement meeting room at Town Hall, 11 South Main Street, and will begin at 7:00 P.M. local time.
