TOWN OF PITTSFORD
 Erie Canal Area Master Plan

A public forum was held on Saturday, December 12 at the Pittsford Senior Center where residents were asked to help develop a vision for approximately 30 acres of lands owned by the Town and Village in the heart of Pittsford. The purpose of the meeting was to begin to discuss the creation of a Master Plan that will guide any future improvements for this area located along the north bank of the Erie Canal between Grove Street and the Monroe Avenue Bridge.

There were approximately 80 residents who attended this meeting. All those who attended participated in an information session about the area, a field walk of the lands and a brainstorming session. Resident comments, a summary of the meeting, photos, as well a place for residents to leave additional comments will soon be available.

The dialogue on these lands will continue. There will be another meeting scheduled in the near future to further discuss the opportunities of this area.
