Department of Public Works Cleaner - Part Time

The Town of Pittsford Department of Public Works has an opening in the Building Maintenance Department for a part time cleaner. The position is thirty-two hours a week Wednesday through Saturday from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm. This position is primarily responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the Town of Pittsford facilities.

The position reports directly to the Building Maintenance foreman and the duties include a wide range of general cleaning: including vacuuming, dusting, light window washing, and cleaning the bathroom facilities. This position is also responsible for maintenance of the facilities, which may include snow removal and room set ups for meetings.

The position requires knowledge of the proper use of cleaning chemicals and the proper use of small hand tools. This person must work closely with facilities staff and residents.

Rate: $8.75/hour
