Parks, Recreation, Trails and Sidewalks

The second of three scoping workshops organized around plan topic areas took place on February 11, 2009 at the Pittsford Town Hall meeting room, from 7 to 9pm. Scoping Workshop #2 provided an opportunity to focus exclusively on Recreation, Parks, Trails and Sidewalks, continuing the preliminary brainstorming and issue/opportunity identification that began at the January 26, 2009 kickoff meeting.

Meeting Synopsis
Approximately 55 individuals attended the Recreation, Parks, Trails and Sidewalks scoping meeting. The workshop began with a presentation (link below). The presentation included an inventory of existing parks, trails and sidewalks and recreation programs in the town. It also included a recap of the Recreation, Parks, Trails and Sidewalks comments received at the 1.26.09 kickoff meeting. Following the presentation, workshop participants were asked for more input regarding Recreation, Parks, Trails and Sidewalks issues and opportunities in the town. Comments received were recorded with markers on large notepads set up at the front of the room.
