Land Use and Zoning

The first of three scoping workshops organized around plan topic areas took place on February 5, 2009 at the Pittsford Town Hall meeting room, from 7 to 9pm. Scoping Workshop #1 provided an opportunity to focus exclusively on Land Use & Zoning, continuing the preliminary brainstorming and issue/opportunity identification that began at the January 26, 2009 kick-off meeting.

Meeting Synopsis
Approximately 75 individuals attended the Land Use & Zoning scoping meeting. The workshop began with a presentation (link below). Major components of the presentation included a brief overview of land use trends and a recap of the land use comments received at the 1.26.09 kickoff meeting. Following the presentation, workshop participants were asked for more input regarding land use and zoning issues and opportunities in the town. Comments received were recorded with markers on large notepads set up at the front of the room.
